Anesthesia Technician

This position requires a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Anesthesia Technology or a related field, and at least one year of experience working as an Anesthesia Technician in a hospital setting. The successful applicant will have strong knowledge of anesthesia equipment, supplies, and medications, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and arrange the operating room for anesthesia procedures • Maintain and check anesthesia equipment and supplies for proper functioning • Set up and manage patient monitoring equipment during procedures • Administer anesthesia drugs, as directed by the anesthesiologist • Assist the anesthesiologist in performing specialized anesthesia techniques • Monitor patient’s vital signs during procedures • Record patient information such as vital signs, medications, and reactions to anesthesia • Prepare and administer medications as directed by the anesthesiologist • Monitor patient’s response to anesthesia and alert the anesthesiologist to any changes • Maintain a safe and secure environment for the patient during the procedure • Clean and sterilize anesthesia equipment and supplies • Keep accurate records of all anesthesia procedures • Provide support and assistance to other healthcare providers during procedures • Adhere to all safety protocols and standards set by the facility
