Job Description

Renown Health is looking for an experienced, passionate, and driven Manager of Social Services-Acute Care to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Social Services department to ensure compassionate and comprehensive care is provided to patients in the acute care setting. You will be an integral part of the care team, providing support to individuals, families, and other members of the health care team when faced with difficult decisions and challenging situations.The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field, as well as a minimum of five years of recent Social Services experience in the acute care setting. They should be able to provide evidence of excellent leadership skills and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care. Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the Social Services department to ensure compassionate and comprehensive care is provided to patients in the acute care setting.
  2. Provide evidence of excellent leadership skills and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care.
  3. Provide support to individuals, families, and other members of the health care team when faced with difficult decisions and challenging situations.
  4. Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure the best possible care for patients.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  6. Monitor the performance of the department and develop strategies for improving quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
  7. Prepare and manage the Social Services department budget.
  8. Develop and implement educational programs and activities to support the professional development of social service staff.
  9. Participate in committees and meetings as required.
  10. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments, community organizations, and health care providers.
