Restoration Hardware is seeking a highly motivated and creative Interior Design Assistant to join our team. As an Interior Design Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our talented design team and assist with the creation of beautiful and functional spaces for our clients. We are seeking someone with a strong understanding of design principles and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.   1. Assist the design team in creating beautiful and functional spaces for clients.
  2. Collaborate with team members on design concepts, materials, and product selections.
  3. Conduct research on latest trends and design techniques to contribute new ideas to the team.
  4. Participate in client meetings and assist in presenting design proposals.
  5. Assist in preparing and managing project budgets and timelines.
  6. Help source and select furniture, fabrics, and accessories for projects.
  7. Create detailed floor plans, renderings, and material boards.
  8. Maintain organized project files and documentation.
  9. Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
  10. Attend trade shows and design events to stay updated on industry and product knowledge.
  11. Provide exceptional customer service to clients and address any concerns or issues promptly.
  12. Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure smooth project execution.
  13. Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the design team and company goals.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities to learn and grow in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  15. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Interior Design Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Interior Design Principles And Techniques Is Essential For An Interior Design Assistant At Restoration Hardware.

  • Proficiency In Design Software: Familiarity With Design Software Such As Autocad, Sketchup, And Adobe Creative Suite Is A Must For Creating Professional Design Plans And Presentations.

  • Attention To Detail: As An Interior Design Assistant, You Will Be Responsible For Creating And Finalizing Design Plans, So Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Order To Ensure Accuracy And Quality In Your Work.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Clients, Vendors, And Other Team Members Is Essential In This Role, As You Will Be Collaborating With Various Individuals Throughout The Design Process.

  • Prior Experience In Interior Design: While Not Always Required, Having Some Prior Experience In The Field Of Interior Design, Through Internships Or Previous Employment, Can Give You A Competitive Edge When Applying For An Interior Design Assistant Position At Restoration Hardware.
