Develop and implement strategic plans for shaping public policy and driving state strategy for Roblox.
Serve as a key member of the government affairs department, providing expertise and guidance on policy and legislative processes.
Build and maintain relationships with state and federal policymakers, advocating for the interests of Roblox.
Monitor and analyze proposed legislation and regulatory changes at the state and federal levels, identifying potential impacts on Roblox and developing appropriate responses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective advocacy strategies.
Serve as a spokesperson for Roblox on policy issues, both internally and externally.
Represent Roblox at industry events, conferences, and meetings with policymakers.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in public policy and state strategy.
Manage a team of professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure the team's success.
Prepare and present reports and updates on policy and state strategy efforts to senior leadership.
Develop and manage budgets for the Public Policy and State Strategy team.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of Roblox's public policy and state strategy efforts.
Act as a thought leader within the company, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in public policy and state strategy.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Public Policy And State Strategy: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 7-10 Years Of Experience In Public Policy And State Strategy, With A Strong Understanding Of Government Processes And Regulations At Both The State And Federal Levels.
Strong Communication And Advocacy Skills: The Senior Manager Will Be Responsible For Representing Roblox's Interests To State Policymakers And Advocating For Policies That Benefit The Company. Therefore, Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential.
In-Depth Knowledge Of The Gaming Industry: Roblox Operates In The Highly Regulated Gaming Industry, And The Senior Manager Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Industry Landscape, Including Current And Emerging Trends, Challenges, And Opportunities.
Proven Track Record Of Successful Policy Outcomes: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Demonstrated History Of Successfully Influencing Policy Outcomes At The State Level. This Includes Developing And Executing Effective Advocacy Strategies And Building Strong Relationships With Policymakers.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills: As A Senior Position, The Senior Manager Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Public Policy And State Strategy Professionals. Therefore, The Candidate Must Have Excellent Leadership And Management Skills, Including The Ability To Mentor And Develop Team Members, Delegate Effectively, And Drive Results.
