Job Description

At Ross Stores, we believe that our employees are our greatest asset. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Area Loss Prevention Manager. As the Area Loss Prevention Manager, you will play a vital role in protecting our stores from internal and external theft, reducing shrinkage, and ensuring the safety of our customers and employees. We are looking for someone with a strong background in loss prevention, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills.   1. Develop and implement loss prevention strategies and procedures for all stores within the designated area.
  2. Monitor and analyze store performance data to identify potential sources of loss and develop action plans to mitigate risks.
  3. Conduct regular audits and investigations to identify and address any potential security or safety concerns.
  4. Train and educate store management and employees on loss prevention best practices and company policies.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement operational improvements to reduce shrinkage.
  6. Manage and track inventory levels to ensure accuracy and prevent loss.
  7. Partner with law enforcement and other external agencies to investigate and resolve incidents of theft or fraud.
  8. Conduct interviews and investigations related to theft or fraud and make recommendations for appropriate disciplinary action.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new technology to enhance loss prevention efforts.
  10. Develop and maintain positive relationships with store management, employees, and external partners to promote a culture of loss prevention awareness.
  11. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on loss prevention initiatives and results.
  12. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to loss prevention.
  13. Respond to emergency situations and provide support as needed.
  14. Maintain a safe and secure work environment for all employees and customers.
  15. Represent the company in a professional manner and act as a role model for ethical behavior and integrity.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Loss Prevention: A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Retail Loss Prevention, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Reducing Shrinkage And Preventing Theft.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Best Practices: A Thorough Understanding Of Current Loss Prevention Techniques, Tools, And Technologies, As Well As Knowledge Of Industry Trends And Best Practices.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: Ability To Effectively Lead And Manage A Team Of Loss Prevention Associates, Including Hiring, Training, And Performance Management.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency In Data Analysis And Reporting, With The Ability To Identify Trends And Patterns In Shrinkage And Theft, And Develop Strategies To Address Them.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Ability To Effectively Communicate With All Levels Of Management, As Well As Store Associates And External Partners, And Build Positive Relationships To Promote A Culture Of Loss Prevention Awareness.
