Stock Associate
Welcome to the Ross Stores team! We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join us as a Stock Associate. As a Stock Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of merchandise to our sales floor. You will be responsible for receiving, unpacking, and organizing merchandise, as well as maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the stockroom. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Receive incoming merchandise and accurately enter it into inventory system.
- Unpack and inspect merchandise for any damages or defects.
- Organize and stock merchandise in designated areas in the stockroom.
- Ensure merchandise is accurately labeled and tagged for easy identification.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or overstocks to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stockroom to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of inventory audits.
- Collaborate with other team members to fulfill merchandise requests from the sales floor.
- Assist in the processing of online orders and returns.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while handling merchandise.
- Communicate any customer feedback or concerns to management.
- Continuously seek ways to improve stockroom processes and procedures.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working with team members and customers.
Previous Retail Experience: Most Employers Prefer Candidates With Some Experience In A Retail Environment, As It Demonstrates An Understanding Of The Industry And Basic Customer Service Skills.
Organizational Skills: Stock Associates Are Responsible For Maintaining Inventory And Ensuring The Stockroom Is Organized And Efficient. Being Able To Prioritize Tasks And Keep Track Of Inventory Levels Is Crucial For Success In This Role.
Physical Stamina: This Role Often Requires Lifting And Moving Heavy Boxes, As Well As Standing And Walking For Extended Periods Of Time. Candidates Should Be Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job.
