  1. Oversee the entire culinary operation onboard the Royal Caribbean Cruises, ensuring that all food and beverage services meet the highest quality standards.
  2. Lead and manage a team of chefs, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation.
  3. Develop and maintain a rotating menu of diverse, high-quality dishes that cater to the tastes and dietary needs of our guests.
  4. Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and dining services, to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of ingredients and supplies.
  5. Maintain inventory levels, monitor food costs, and implement cost-saving measures to achieve budgetary goals.
  6. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  7. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and professional development among culinary staff.
  8. Continuously seek out new culinary trends and techniques, incorporating them into menu development and training programs for the culinary team.
  9. Liaise with guests, taking feedback and addressing any concerns or requests related to the dining experience.
  10. Represent the culinary department in meetings and events, communicating the vision and goals of the department to other members of the management team.

Job Qualifications
  • Culinary Education And Experience: A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In A High-Volume, Upscale Restaurant Or Hotel Kitchen, With A Degree Or Certification In Culinary Arts.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: Proven Ability To Lead And Manage A Large Team Of Culinary Professionals, Including Hiring, Training, And Performance Management. Must Have Experience With Budgeting, Inventory Management, And Menu Planning.

  • Creativity And Innovation: A Passion For Creating New And Exciting Dishes, As Well As The Ability To Adapt To Different Cultural Tastes And Dietary Restrictions. Must Be Able To Continuously Develop And Update Menus To Keep Up With Industry Trends And Guest Preferences.

  • Food Safety And Sanitation Knowledge: In-Depth Knowledge And Understanding Of Food Safety Regulations, Including Haccp Standards. Must Be Able To Maintain A Clean And Sanitary Kitchen Environment At All Times.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential For An Executive Chef, As They Must Effectively Communicate With Both Kitchen Staff And Other Departments On The Ship. Must Also Be Able To Interact With Guests And Handle Any Complaints Or Special Requests.
