  1. Conduct fitness classes and activities for guests of all ages and fitness levels.
  2. Create and implement engaging and challenging workout routines.
  3. Provide personalized fitness consultations and assessments for guests.
  4. Maintain a safe and clean exercise environment.
  5. Educate guests on proper form and technique to prevent injury.
  6. Ensure all equipment is properly functioning and report any issues.
  7. Adapt to the unique environment of a cruise ship and provide creative solutions for limited space.
  8. Maintain a positive and energetic attitude to motivate and inspire guests.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
  10. Collaborate with other onboard departments to promote healthy and active lifestyle options.
  11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  12. Continuously strive to exceed guest expectations.
  13. Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests.
  14. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into classes and activities.
  15. Serve as a brand ambassador for Royal Caribbean Cruises, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle to guests and fellow crew members.

Job Qualifications

  • Certified Personal Trainer: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Valid Certification From A Recognized Fitness Organization, Such As Ace, Nasm, Or Acsm. This Ensures That They Have A Thorough Understanding Of Anatomy, Exercise Science, And Injury Prevention.

  • Previous Experience: Royal Caribbean Cruises Is Looking For Candidates Who Have Previous Experience As A Fitness Instructor Or Personal Trainer In A Professional Setting. This Could Include Working At A Gym, Fitness Studio, Or On A Cruise Ship.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Fitness Instructor On A Cruise Ship, You Will Be Working With People From All Over The World. It Is Important To Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Teach And Motivate Individuals With Different Backgrounds And Fitness Levels.

  • Knowledge Of Various Fitness Programs: Royal Caribbean Cruises Offers A Variety Of Fitness Programs, Such As Group Fitness Classes, Personal Training, And Specialty Classes Like Yoga And Pilates. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Diverse Skillset And Be Able To Teach A Range Of Fitness Programs.

  • Customer Service Oriented: The Fitness Instructor Will Be Responsible For Creating A Positive And Welcoming Environment For Guests On The Cruise Ship. Having Excellent Customer Service Skills And A Friendly Demeanor Is Essential For This Role.
