Job Description

As a Marine Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of our luxurious cruise ships.   1. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of all ship systems, including engines, generators, and propulsion systems.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical issues that may arise during the voyage.
  3. Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  4. Collaborate with other departments, such as navigation and hospitality, to ensure seamless operation of the ship.
  5. Train and supervise junior engineers and crew members in proper maintenance and repair procedures.
  6. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, as well as inventory of spare parts and equipment.
  7. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in marine engineering technology.
  9. Communicate effectively with superiors, colleagues, and crew members to report on ship operations and address any concerns.
  10. Foster a positive and professional work environment by promoting teamwork and cooperation among crew members.
  11. Quickly respond to emergency situations and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of the ship and its passengers.
  12. Assist in the planning and execution of ship maintenance and repair schedules.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized engine room and workshop area.
  14. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to environmental protection and sustainability.
  15. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance the overall operation of the ship.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Marine Engineering Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Marine Engineering, Preferably In The Cruise Industry.

  • Strong Technical Knowledge Of Ship Systems, Including Propulsion, Electrical, And Hvac Systems.

  • Proficiency In Marine Engineering Software And Systems, Such As Autocad And Shipconstructor.

  • Valid Merchant Mariner Credential (Mmc) With Relevant Endorsements, Such As Chief Engineer Or Second Engineer.
