- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on the fleet of Royal Caribbean Cruises ships to ensure their safe and efficient operation while at sea.
- Monitor and troubleshoot all mechanical and electrical systems on board the ships, including propulsion, power generation, and water systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and tests to identify any potential issues or malfunctions and take corrective measures to prevent breakdowns.
- Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including detailed reports on any issues encountered and the steps taken to resolve them.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in marine engineering technology and equipment to continuously improve the efficiency and reliability of the ships.
- Communicate effectively with other departments, including crew members and management, to coordinate maintenance and repair activities and ensure minimal disruption to guests' experiences.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while performing duties and take appropriate action in the event of an emergency.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and crew members to enhance their skills and knowledge in marine engineering.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing Royal Caribbean Cruises in a positive light to guests and fellow team members.
Bachelor's Degree In Marine Engineering Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Marine Engineering, Preferably In The Cruise Industry.
Proficient In The Use Of Various Marine Engineering Software And Systems.
Knowledge Of International Maritime Regulations And Standards.
Strong Problem-Solving And Decision-Making Skills, With The Ability To Work Well Under Pressure.
