
Safety Officer

You will be responsible for implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety drills and inspections, and promoting a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization. - Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of guests and crew members.
- Conduct regular safety drills and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization by educating and training staff on safety protocols.
- Monitor and assess safety risks and make recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate with other departments to develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and laws.
- Investigate and report any safety incidents or accidents and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain and regularly update safety records and reports.
- Collaborate with the onboard medical team to ensure proper emergency medical procedures are in place.
- Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory agencies regarding safety matters.
- Train and supervise safety personnel, including conducting performance evaluations and providing guidance and support.
- Respond to safety-related inquiries and concerns from guests and crew members.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate safety procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
- Keep up-to-date on industry safety trends and regulations.
- Foster a positive and safe work environment by promoting open communication and teamwork.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Environmental Science, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Safety Role, Preferably In The Maritime Industry.
Knowledge Of International Safety Regulations And Standards, Such As Solas And Ism Code.
Certification In Occupational Health And Safety (Osha) And First Aid/Cpr.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Conduct Safety Trainings And Inspections Effectively.
