Welcome aboard the Royal Caribbean team! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join us as a Safety Officer. As a Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests and crew members on board our magnificent ships. You will be responsible for implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety drills and inspections, and promoting a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization. We are looking for someone who is passionate about safety and has a strong attention to detail.   1. Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of guests and crew members.
  2. Conduct regular safety drills and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  3. Promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization by educating and training staff on safety protocols.
  4. Monitor and assess safety risks and make recommendations for improvement.
  5. Coordinate with other departments to develop and implement emergency response plans.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and laws.
  7. Investigate and report any safety incidents or accidents and implement corrective actions as needed.
  8. Maintain and regularly update safety records and reports.
  9. Collaborate with the onboard medical team to ensure proper emergency medical procedures are in place.
  10. Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory agencies regarding safety matters.
  11. Train and supervise safety personnel, including conducting performance evaluations and providing guidance and support.
  12. Respond to safety-related inquiries and concerns from guests and crew members.
  13. Continuously monitor and evaluate safety procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
  14. Keep up-to-date on industry safety trends and regulations.
  15. Foster a positive and safe work environment by promoting open communication and teamwork.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Environmental Science, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Safety Role, Preferably In The Maritime Industry.

  • Knowledge Of International Safety Regulations And Standards, Such As Solas And Ism Code.

  • Certification In Occupational Health And Safety (Osha) And First Aid/Cpr.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Conduct Safety Trainings And Inspections Effectively.
