- Develop and oversee a diverse portfolio of shore excursions that cater to the interests and needs of our guests.
- Collaborate with local tour operators and vendors to negotiate and secure the best rates and experiences for our guests.
- Ensure all shore excursions comply with safety regulations and adhere to company standards.
- Train and manage a team of excursion staff, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure high-quality customer service.
- Monitor and analyze guest feedback to continuously improve and innovate the shore excursion program.
- Create and maintain detailed budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance.
- Work closely with other departments, such as onboard entertainment and dining, to create a seamless and coordinated guest experience.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the destinations and ports of call, as well as cultural and historical information, to provide guests with informative and enriching shore excursions.
- Manage logistics and operations for shore excursions, including transportation, tickets, and reservations.
- Resolve any guest concerns or issues related to shore excursions promptly and effectively.
- Stay current on industry trends and competitors' offerings to ensure our shore excursion program remains competitive and appealing to guests.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the shore excursion team and with other departments.
- Represent the company and maintain a professional demeanor at all times while interacting with guests and vendors.
Extensive Experience In Tourism And Hospitality Industry: The Ideal Shore Excursions Manager Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In The Tourism And Hospitality Industry, With A Strong Background In Managing Shore Excursions For Cruise Lines Or Other Travel Companies.
Exceptional Organizational And Communication Skills: As A Shore Excursions Manager, One Must Have Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills To Coordinate With Various Departments, Tour Operators, And Guests To Ensure Smooth And Efficient Execution Of Shore Excursions.
Strong Leadership And Team Management Abilities: This Role Requires A Candidate With Proven Leadership Skills And The Ability To Manage A Team Of Shore Excursion Staff Effectively. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Training, Mentoring, And Motivating A Team To Deliver Exceptional Guest Experiences.
