- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with students to assess their career goals and develop individualized plans for achieving them.
- Stay up-to-date on current job market trends and industry demands to provide relevant and effective career guidance.
- Assist students in creating strong resumes, cover letters, and other job application materials.
- Conduct mock interviews to help students improve their interviewing skills and prepare for job interviews.
- Collaborate with other career services staff to develop and implement workshops and seminars on topics such as networking, job search strategies, and professional development.
- Utilize various resources and tools to help students explore different career paths and identify potential job opportunities.
- Provide guidance and support to students in developing and enhancing their professional skills, such as time management, communication, and teamwork.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and outcomes to track the success of the career coaching program.
- Establish and maintain relationships with employers to facilitate job placements and internship opportunities for students.
- Serve as a liaison between students and potential employers, advocating for students and promoting their skills and qualifications.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the job coaching program to ensure its effectiveness and relevance to students' needs.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current on best practices in career development and coaching.
- Uphold the values and mission of Rutgers University and represent the institution in a professional and positive manner.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Education, Counseling, Or A Related Field
Previous Experience Working With Individuals With Disabilities Or In A Coaching/Mentoring Role
