- Oversee and manage relationships with network carriers, including negotiating contracts and rates, ensuring compliance with service level agreements, and resolving any issues that may arise
- Develop and implement strategies to improve carrier performance and efficiency, and identify opportunities for cost savings and service enhancements
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and coordination with network carriers
- Monitor and analyze carrier performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and provide regular reports to senior management
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact carrier operations, and adjust strategies accordingly
- Train and mentor carrier representatives on company policies and procedures to ensure understanding and compliance
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to network carriers to drive continuous improvement
- Represent Ryder System in a professional and positive manner to network carriers and build strong and lasting partnerships
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations, and ensure that network carriers also comply with these standards
- Travel as needed to visit carrier facilities and attend industry events and conferences to stay current on best practices and market trends.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within The Transportation Or Logistics Industry.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.
Strong Knowledge Of Network Carrier Operations, Including Routing And Scheduling, Carrier Performance Monitoring, And Negotiation Of Carrier Contracts.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Manage Relationships With Carriers, Internal Teams, And Customers.
Proven Track Record Of Driving Cost Savings And Operational Efficiencies Through Strategic Carrier Management And Optimization.
