  1. Operate CDL A licensed truck in a safe and responsible manner.
  2. Transport goods to designated locations on a daily basis.
  3. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  4. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage.
  5. Perform pre and post trip inspections of truck and report any issues or malfunctions.
  6. Communicate effectively with dispatch team and customers.
  7. Utilize GPS and other technology to plan and navigate routes.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized truck.
  9. Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  10. Represent Ryder System in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  11. Follow company policies and procedures.
  12. Maintain a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  13. Adhere to strict delivery schedules and deadlines.
  14. Report any incidents, accidents, or traffic violations to management.
  15. Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency and productivity.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Cdl A License With A Clean Driving Record: A Truck Driver At Ryder System Must Possess A Valid Cdl A License And Have A Clean Driving Record With No Major Violations In Order To Safely Operate The Company's Vehicles.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Commercial Driving Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 1 Year Of Experience Driving Commercial Vehicles, Preferably In A Similar Role As A Solo Driver.

  • Knowledge Of Department Of Transportation (Dot) Regulations: As A Truck Driver At Ryder System, It Is Essential To Have A Thorough Understanding Of All Dot Regulations And Compliance Standards To Ensure Safe And Legal Operation Of Vehicles.

  • Ability To Pass A Pre-Employment Drug Test And Background Check: All Candidates Must Pass A Pre-Employment Drug Test And Background Check To Be Considered For The Position, As The Safety Of Our Drivers And Customers Is Our Top Priority.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: A Successful Truck Driver At Ryder System Should Possess Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills To Effectively Interact With Customers, Dispatchers, And Other Team Members. This Helps To Ensure A Positive Experience For All Involved.
