1. Assist pharmacists in filling and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
2. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
3. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their medication needs.
4. Accurately process insurance claims and coordinate with insurance companies to ensure timely reimbursement.
5. Utilize computer systems to input and retrieve prescription information.
6. Assist with inventory management and ordering of medications and supplies.
7. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members to ensure optimal patient care.
8. Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA guidelines, for handling and dispensing medications.
9. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to maintain knowledge and skills.
10. Collaborate with pharmacists to identify and resolve any issues or concerns related to prescriptions.
11. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with customers and team members.
12. Act as a resource for customers regarding over-the-counter medications and other healthcare products.
13. Follow all policies and procedures set forth by the company to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
14. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance the overall customer experience.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or supervisor.
