Job Description

At Salesforce, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Director of Product Marketing to join our Slack team. As the Director of Product Marketing, you will play a critical role in driving the success of one of our most innovative and rapidly growing products.   1. Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies for Slack, in alignment with overall company objectives and goals.
  2. Lead and manage a team of product marketing professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their individual and team goals.
  3. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify target audiences, competitive landscape, and market trends, and utilize this information to inform product positioning and messaging.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, product management, and customer success to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and positioning.
  5. Create compelling and effective marketing materials, such as product collateral, pitch decks, and sales enablement tools, to support the sales team in their efforts to drive product adoption and revenue growth.
  6. Own the go-to-market strategy for new product launches, including developing launch plans, coordinating with key stakeholders, and tracking and reporting on results.
  7. Monitor and track market and competitive trends, and use this information to make strategic recommendations for product improvements and updates.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry influencers to gain insights and feedback on the product, and leverage these relationships for co-marketing opportunities.
  9. Collaborate with the global marketing team to ensure consistency and effectiveness of messaging and campaigns across all channels and regions.
  10. Continually assess and optimize product marketing strategies, processes, and tools to drive continuous improvement and increase product success.
  11. Represent the Slack team and product at industry events and conferences, as well as internal and external meetings and presentations.
  12. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to bring innovative ideas and approaches to the team.
  13. Serve as a champion for the product within the organization, promoting its value and impact on the company's overall success.
  14. Serve as a subject matter expert on the SaaS market, customer needs and pain points, and competitive landscape, and use this knowledge to inform product direction and marketing strategies.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Product Marketing: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In Product Marketing, Preferably In The Technology Industry. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Developing And Executing Successful Product Marketing Strategies.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Director Of Product Marketing, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams. They Should Have Excellent People Management Skills And The Ability To Motivate And Inspire Their Team To Achieve Goals.
