1. Assist the pharmacist in providing exceptional patient care by accurately and efficiently preparing and dispensing medications.
2. Maintain a thorough understanding of all pharmacy procedures and policies to ensure compliance and safety.
3. Greet and welcome members to the pharmacy with a friendly and professional attitude.
4. Answer phone calls and inquiries from members and healthcare providers in a timely and courteous manner.
5. Accurately enter and maintain patient and medication information in the pharmacy system.
6. Assist in managing inventory and ordering medications and supplies as needed.
7. Process insurance claims and assist with billing procedures.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the preparation and disposal of medications in accordance with safety and sanitation guidelines.
9. Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of new medications and their uses, side effects, and interactions.
10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care.
11. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
12. Train and supervise new pharmacy technicians as needed.
13. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and improve job performance.
14. Display a positive and professional attitude, and actively contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacist or pharmacy manager.
