
Director of Health Information Management
The San Juan Regional Medical Center is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Health Information Management to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be a skilled and knowledgeable professional who is passionate about providing quality and efficient health information management services. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction in the development and implementation of our health information management systems and programs. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction in the development and implementation of health information management systems and programs.
- Design and implement policies and procedures that ensure the accuracy and integrity of health data.
- Develop and maintain a secure health information management system in compliance with national standards and regulations.
- Monitor the accuracy and completeness of medical records to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the maintenance and security of all health information systems, including electronic health records, paper records, and other medical records.
- Analyze and report on health information systems performance and utilization.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of health information.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure the efficient and effective use of health information management systems.
- Develop and manage a budget for health information management services.
- Provide training and education to staff on health information management systems and processes.
