Job Description

Santander Bank N.A is looking for an experienced, driven, and detail-oriented Executive Director and Associate General Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing crucial legal advice and guidance to the bank’s executive team, providing oversight and management for legal matters, and representing the bank in legal matters. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and advocacy skills, a strong knowledge of legal and banking regulations, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide legal advice and guidance to the bank’s executive team to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and rules.
  2. Oversee and manage legal matters, including ensuring the bank’s legal documents are up to date and accurate.
  3. Represent the bank in legal matters, including hearings, negotiations, and other proceedings.
  4. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the bank’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations and rules.
  5. Monitor changes in the banking industry, and keep up to date with legal and regulatory developments.
  6. Maintain accurate and organized records of all legal matters.
  7. Prepare legal documents and briefs, and review contracts.
  8. Assist in the preparation of reports for senior management.
  9. Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
  10. Maintain a high level of professional ethics and integrity.

Job Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree

  • Admitted To The Bar And In Good Standing

  • At Least Years Of Experience In A Large Law Firm Or Corporate Legal Department
