Receiving Clerk

As a Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and accurate flow of merchandise into our stores. 1. Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments from various vendors.
2. Verify the accuracy of received merchandise against purchase orders and ensure proper documentation is completed.
3. Organize received merchandise by department and ensure it is stored in the appropriate location.
4. Communicate with store managers and department heads to ensure timely and accurate delivery of merchandise.
5. Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing department to replenish stock as needed.
6. Inspect and report any damaged or defective merchandise to the appropriate department.
7. Collaborate with the rest of the receiving team to ensure all merchandise is received and processed efficiently.
8. Follow all safety and security procedures to protect both company assets and the safety of team members.
9. Keep accurate records of received merchandise and update inventory systems accordingly.
10. Assist with other tasks as needed, such as restocking shelves or assisting customers.
11. Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
12. Stay updated on company policies and procedures related to receiving and inventory management.
13. Work closely with the warehouse team to coordinate the movement of merchandise between locations.
14. Meet productivity and accuracy goals set by management.
15. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
16. Proactively identify and report any issues or concerns related to receiving processes.
17. Train and mentor new receiving team members as needed.
18. Continuously look for ways to improve and streamline receiving processes.
19. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and loss prevention guidelines.
20. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
