Zoological Specialist

We are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable specialist to join our team and help us create engaging, educational experiences for our guests.Our ideal candidate has a degree in zoology or a related field and experience working in a zoo, wildlife conservation center, or similar setting. In addition, they have a strong grasp of animal behavior, husbandry, and training, and they are committed to promoting responsible animal care and welfare. Responsibilities:
-Support the development and implementation of animal care and welfare programs
-Monitor animal behavior and provide enrichment opportunities -Maintain accurate records of animal health, behavior, and general care -Develop and deliver engaging educational programs to guests -Train and mentor animal care and educational staff -Provide guidance and advice on animal husbandry and nutrition -Perform daily animal care duties including cleaning, feeding, and health checks -Provide assistance with the implementation of research projects -Work with other departments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies -Ensure the safety of staff, animals, and guests at all times
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Zoology
Animal Behavior Knowledge
Experience With Animal Husbandry And Animal Care
In-Depth Knowledge Of Aquatic And/Or Terrestrial Species
Familiarity With Public Safety Regulations
Experience In Developing And Leading Educational Programs
And Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment
