  1. Design and develop highly scalable and efficient data pipelines to support various business needs and requirements.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and implement solutions that meet business objectives.
  3. Analyze and optimize data storage, ingestion, and processing strategies to ensure high performance and reliability.
  4. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our data platform.
  5. Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues, implementing solutions to maintain data integrity.
  6. Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage, and data flow diagrams.
  7. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data engineers on the team.
  8. Work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure the availability and accuracy of data for analytical and reporting purposes.
  9. Collaborate with database administrators to ensure the security, backup, and recovery of our data platform.
  10. Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and maintain coding standards and best practices.
  11. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide project updates.
  12. Take ownership of projects and proactively identify and resolve any potential roadblocks.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve data processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  14. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production issues in a timely manner.
  15. Uphold the company's data governance policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Data Engineering: A Senior Staff Data Engineer At Servicenow Should Have A Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In Data Engineering, With A Strong Understanding Of Data Structures, Data Modeling, And Data Warehousing.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages And Tools: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Programming Languages Such As Sql, Python, And Java, As Well As Experience With Etl Tools Like Informatica And Talend.

  • Expertise In Data Architecture And Design: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Data Architecture Principles And Best Practices, And Be Able To Design And Implement Scalable, Efficient, And Secure Data Pipelines.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Senior Staff Data Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Analyzing Complex Data Sets, Identifying Trends And Patterns, And Providing Actionable Insights. Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Experience With Cloud-Based Data Solutions: Servicenow Is A Cloud-Based Platform, So Experience With Cloud-Based Data Solutions Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud Is Highly Desirable. The Candidate Should Also Have A Good Understanding Of Data Security And Compliance In A Cloud Environment.
