- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for software products, services and solutions.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential vendors and evaluate their capabilities, pricing, and quality.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing for the company.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and finance, to understand business needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly.
- Monitor industry trends and developments to anticipate changes in the software market and adjust sourcing strategies as needed.
- Manage the end-to-end sourcing process, from identifying business requirements to contract execution and vendor management.
- Develop and maintain a vendor database, including vendor performance metrics and contract details.
- Monitor and track vendor performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to software sourcing.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sourcing strategies, vendor performance, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Act as a subject matter expert on software sourcing, providing guidance and support to other team members as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and new sourcing technologies to continuously improve the company's sourcing processes.
- Represent the company in negotiations with vendors, maintaining a professional and collaborative approach.
- Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to optimize the company's software sourcing operations.
