Job Description

Gather required book information for tax return preparations. Identify and resolve book issues that affect tax reporting by legal entities. Ensure inter-legal elimination entries are grouped according to tax legal structure. Coordinate with Corporate and Divisional Accounting groups for questions and issues identified during the data gather process. Review various audited financial statements and joint ventures audited financial statements mainly to ensure the book and tax profit and loss allocations are in accordance with the partnership/LLC agreements. Research and resolve tax and accounting issues related to tax reporting. Reply to correspondences from various tax authorities. Use of Hyperion and JDEdwards to gather book trial balance. Face to face meeting with federal or state agencies for field audits. Perform other duties as assigned. Preparation of tax returns.

Job Qualifications

CPA preferred
Master’s degree in Taxation preferred
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in public accounting or industry
Knowledge of the homebuilding and real estate industries preferred
Partnership/S Corporation tax experience a big plus
