- Develop and implement environmental health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain safety programs and initiatives.
- Train and educate employees on environmental health and safety practices and procedures.
- Monitor and track safety metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct investigations into safety incidents and accidents, and develop and implement preventative measures.
- Stay informed and up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices for environmental health and safety.
- Work closely with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop emergency response plans and procedures to address potential environmental and safety hazards.
- Lead safety committees and engage with employees to promote a culture of safety across the organization.
- Oversee the management of hazardous materials and waste in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as community organizations and government agencies, to promote environmental health and safety initiatives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of environmental health and safety programs.
- Prepare and present reports to management on safety performance, incidents, and compliance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for all environmental health and safety related matters.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Health And Safety, Occupational Health And Safety, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role In Environmental Health And Safety.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Environmental Regulations And Safety Standards.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Lead And Train A Team.
Professional Certifications Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih) Preferred.
