Bachelor's Degree In Audio Engineering Or Related Field: A Formal Education In Audio Engineering Is A Fundamental Qualification For This Role As It Demonstrates A Strong Understanding Of Audio Principles And Techniques.
Proven Experience In Audio Production And Editing: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Audio Production And Editing, Preferably In A Radio Or Broadcast Setting. This Experience Should Be Reflected In A Strong Portfolio Of Work.
Proficiency In Audio Software And Equipment: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Well-Versed In Industry-Standard Audio Software And Equipment, Such As Pro Tools, Logic Pro, And Ssl Consoles. Experience With Audio Automation Systems, Sound Processing, And Mixing Is Also Preferred.
Understanding Of Broadcast Regulations And Standards: Sirius Xm Radio Is A Regulated Broadcast Company, And As Such, The Audio Engineer Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Fcc Regulations, Audio Quality Standards, And Compliance Requirements.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Audio Engineers At Sirius Xm Radio Work Closely With Other Team Members, Including Producers, Djs, And Other Engineers. As Such, Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Crucial For Success In This Role.
