Cashier

Smart & Final is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Cashier to join our team! As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while ringing up purchases and processing payments. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment. We are looking for a Cashier who is friendly, organized, and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of cashiering experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, answer customer inquiries, and provide knowledgeable assistance.
2. Process customer purchases with accuracy and efficiency.
3. Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
4. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
5. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
6. Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers.
7. Balance the cash register and ensure that all transactions are accounted for.
8. Assist customers with loading their purchases.
9. Assist in stocking merchandise when needed.
10. Adhere to company standards regarding customer service, quality, and cleanliness.
