- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries, concerns, and needs.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and ensuring product displays are neat and appealing.
- Help customers locate products and offer suggestions and recommendations based on their needs.
- Follow all store policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty to the store.
- Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and promotions, and effectively communicate this information to customers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks and provide support as needed.
- Act as a brand ambassador, representing Smart & Final and its values to customers and the community.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.

Strong Customer Service Skills: As A Service Clerk At Smart & Final, You Will Be Expected To Interact With Customers On A Daily Basis. This Requires Excellent Communication Skills, Patience, And The Ability To Handle Difficult Situations With Professionalism.
Attention To Detail: Service Clerks Are Responsible For Maintaining The Appearance And Organization Of The Store. This Includes Restocking Shelves, Arranging Displays, And Ensuring That Products Are Labeled Correctly. Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Order To Maintain A Clean And Organized Store Environment.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Smart & Final Is A Busy Retail Environment, And As A Service Clerk, You Will Be Expected To Work Efficiently And Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment. This Includes Multitasking, Prioritizing Tasks, And Working Well Under Pressure.
Knowledge Of Basic Math And Computer Skills: Service Clerks Are Responsible For Handling Cash Transactions, Counting Inventory, And Using The Store's Computer System To Process Orders. Basic Math Skills And Familiarity With Computers Are Important Qualifications For This Role.
Physical Stamina: Service Clerks May Be Required To Stand For Long Periods Of Time, Lift And Carry Heavy Items, And Perform Physically Demanding Tasks Such As Stocking Shelves And Moving Crates. Physical Stamina And The Ability To Perform These Tasks Safely Is An Important Qualification For This Job.
