Job Description

Perform static and dynamic structural simulations using Ansys or Abaqus on consumer grade hardware. Lead and coordinate with partner teams (Product Design, Reliability, Quality, etc.) to validate the predictions of the simulated results. Work with product design engineers on evaluation, verification/validation and design optimization. Recommend design changes/directions to meet product performance requirements. Participate in team brainstorming and new technology development. Develop new simulation tools and capabilities as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in building and calibrating non-linear material models

  • Thorough knowledge of Solid Mechanics and Strength of Materials

  • 7+ years experience as an analyst performing mechanical and structural simulations

  • Familiarity with Abaqus user subroutine development

  • Solid modeling practices including static and dynamic structural simulations, fatigue analysis, model validation techniques, and reliability
