Human Resources Generalist

We are looking for an experienced and professional Human Resources Generalist to join the SoCalGas team and help create a positive and engaging employee experience. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of human resources functions, including benefits administration, recruitment, personnel recordkeeping, employee relations, and payroll processing.The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field and at least three years of experience in the Human Resources field. In addition, you will need to be knowledgeable in employment law, have excellent organizational and communication skills, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities:

1. Maintain employee records and personnel files in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
2. Administer employee benefits, including health, dental, and life insurance.
3. Oversee recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening and interviewing candidates, and coordinating background checks.
4. Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures.
5. Mediate and resolve employee disputes and grievances.
6. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff members.
7. Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
8. Ensure compliance with labor and employment laws.
9. Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on HR-related matters.
10. Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure a competitive employer brand.
