
Criminal Investigator
The Social Security Administration is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Criminal Investigator to join our team. In this role, you will use your expertise in investigative techniques and analysis to identify and investigate fraud, abuse, and other criminal activities related to the Social Security Administration's programs and operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of investigative experience and a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field. You should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and an unwavering commitment to ethical practices. Knowledge of the Social Security Administration's programs and operations is preferred. You must also possess an inquisitive mindset and be willing to ask questions and explore all possible angles. Responsibilities:
- Investigate fraud, abuse, and other criminal activities related to the Social Security Administration's programs and operations.
- Use investigative techniques and analysis to identify criminal activity.
- Maintain an unwavering commitment to ethical practices.
- Develop and sustain relationships with informants and other contacts in the criminal justice system.
- Interview witnesses and suspects to gather evidence and information.
- Prepare and present detailed reports of investigations.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding Social Security Administration programs and operations.
- Utilize an inquisitive mindset to ask questions and explore all possible angles.
- Remain current with new investigative techniques and technologies.
- Collaborate with other agencies and law enforcement personnel as needed.
Excellent Communication Skills
