Job Description

Welcome to Soma Intimates, where we celebrate and empower women through our beautiful and comfortable lingerie and loungewear. We are currently seeking a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Artist to join our dynamic team. As an Assistant Artist, you will play a crucial role in bringing our designs to life and ensuring our brand's visual aesthetic is consistently maintained. If you have a passion for art and fashion, and possess the necessary technical skills and attention to detail, we would love to hear from you.

  1. Collaborate with the design team to create original and visually appealing artwork for our lingerie and loungewear collections.
  2. Assist in the creation of digital and physical mock-ups of designs, utilizing software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  3. Use technical skills to accurately and efficiently transfer designs onto product templates.
  4. Ensure that all artwork meets brand standards and aligns with our overall aesthetic.
  5. Work closely with production and manufacturing teams to communicate design specifications and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and incorporate them into design concepts.
  7. Take ownership of assigned projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Maintain organized files and documentation of all design work.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and provide updates on project progress.
  10. Contribute to brainstorming sessions and offer creative ideas for new designs.
  11. Assist with product photo shoots, including preparing samples and organizing props.
  12. Participate in quality control checks to ensure accurate reproduction of designs on final products.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and provide suggestions for streamlining processes.
  14. Uphold a positive and professional attitude while representing the brand.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Artistic Techniques: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Artistic Techniques, Such As Drawing, Painting, And Sculpting. This Will Enable Them To Assist The Lead Artist In Creating High-Quality Designs For Soma Intimates.

  • Creativity And Attention To Detail: As An Assistant Artist, It Is Important To Have A Creative Mindset And An Eye For Detail. This Will Allow The Candidate To Contribute Unique Ideas And Ensure That All Designs And Products Meet Soma Intimates' High Standards.

  • Proficiency In Design Software: The Candidate Should Be Proficient In Design Software Such As Adobe Creative Suite Or Coreldraw. This Will Enable Them To Assist With Digital Design Tasks And Make Necessary Edits To Designs As Needed.

  • Strong Communication Skills: A Successful Assistant Artist Should Have Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written. This Will Allow Them To Effectively Communicate With The Lead Artist, Team Members, And Other Departments Within Soma Intimates.

  • Time Management And Prioritization Skills: The Candidate Should Be Able To Manage Their Time Effectively And Prioritize Tasks To Meet Deadlines. This Is Crucial In A Fast-Paced Environment Like Soma Intimates, Where Multiple Projects May Be In Progress Simultaneously.
