Sony Music Publishing is looking for a highly motivated individual to provide support to the Visual +. Media Rights department, allowing for further growth of the area. Working closely with and being a conduit to the Administration, Legal, Marketing and Synch departments, and assisting with initiatives to maximize exploitation of the catalogue. partners. Attend meetings, conferences, and events to promote SMPs business. Work closely with SVP to continually review client acquisition strategy. Evaluate potential deals for signing. Work closely with the SMP administrative Team to improve processes and procedures to ensure we are always offering the best service possible to our clients. Keep a close eye on the media landscape to ensure we are ahead of the game in signing new deals. Working with the Digital Team to understand and realise online / digital revenue opportunities (ie YouTube).
3-5+ years of professional work experience in the film, TV or Music Industry, with industry contacts
Experience and knowledge of film and television music publishing rights
Open-minded and motivated to recommend changes to processes and procedures where this would result in a more effective service
IT literate (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint) and aptitude to take on use of new software packages
Passionate enthusiast for film and television music with an archivist/researcher like mindset across a wide range of musical styles
