Radar Engineer
The Starship RF and Flight Safety Systems Team develops the communications systems, radionavigation systems, and flight safety systems for the Starship vehicle. We perform system synthesis, component level radio and antenna design, system integration validation, and system level validation for the RF systems on Starship and Super Heavy. Develop the system architecture, signal processing and algorithms for cutting edge radar systems used for space vehicle navigation. Develop link budgets and cascades for analyzing performance expectations for radar systems under development Provide expertise in analysis and verification of the overall radar system design to meet performance. Drive the radar design process starting with high-level conceptual and architectural discussions through model development, implementation, and performance validation.
10+ years of experience in design, analysis, and verification of radar systems
Demonstrated experience in applying the fundamentals of detection and estimation theory to radar applications
Demonstrated experience in design, analysis, and implementation of signal processing for radar systems
Ability to derive fundamental radar performance relationships from first principles
