- Receive and process incoming merchandise and shipments from vendors, ensuring accuracy and quality of products.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in inventory management.
- Organize and manage storage areas, ensuring proper storage and rotation of products.
- Assist in unloading and loading of delivery trucks.
- Inspect and report any damaged or non-compliant products to management.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient receipt and distribution of merchandise.
- Follow and enforce all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding any inventory or receiving issues.
- Assist in maintaining accurate pricing and labeling of products.
- Act as a backup for the Receiver position, stepping in when needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Help train and supervise new receiving team members.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering products as needed.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with customers and team members.
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
- Continuously strive to improve and streamline receiving processes to increase efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge Of Store Operations: A Back Up Receiver At Sprouts Farmers Market Should Have A Good Understanding Of The Company's Store Operations, Including Inventory Management, Receiving Procedures, And Product Placement.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Back Up Receiver, One Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Vendors, And Other Departments To Ensure Smooth And Efficient Operations.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy Is Crucial In Receiving And Inventory Management. A Back Up Receiver Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify Discrepancies And Resolve Them Promptly.
Physical Stamina: This Position Involves Lifting And Moving Heavy Boxes And Products, Often For Extended Periods. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks Without Difficulty.
