Job Description

At SS&C Technologies, we are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Service Desk Technician. We are looking for someone who has a passion for technology and customer service and is committed to providing excellent service to our clients.The ideal candidate for this position should have a solid technical background and be comfortable with providing phone and email support for a wide variety of customer inquiries. They should be self-motivated, organized, and be able to work with minimal supervision. Additionally, the successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field• At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills• An in-depth understanding of Windows OS, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems• Working knowledge of network infrastructure and hardware components• Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentIf you have the qualifications and experience required for this role, and you are passionate about providing excellent customer service, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide phone and email support to customers with inquiries
  2. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions
  3. Maintain customer service standards and ensure customer satisfaction
  4. Manage customer inquiries and ensure timely resolution
  5. Document customer inquiries and resolutions in the service desk system
  6. Monitor service desk queues and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
  7. Identify opportunities to improve customer service processes
  8. Proactively identify and resolve customer issues before they become major problems
  9. Keep up to date with new technology developments and industry trends
  10. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
