  1. Develop and implement tax strategies to support the global business operations of Starbucks.
  2. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate tax risks.
  3. Provide guidance on complex tax issues and communicate them in a clear and concise manner.
  4. Drive tax planning initiatives to optimize the company's tax position.
  5. Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
  6. Conduct research and analysis to identify tax planning opportunities and potential tax savings.
  7. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of tax strategies.
  8. Prepare and review tax calculations and returns for accuracy and completeness.
  9. Monitor and manage the company's tax liabilities and ensure timely and accurate tax payments.
  10. Build and maintain relationships with tax authorities and external tax advisors.
  11. Train and mentor junior team members on tax planning and policy.
  12. Continuously assess and improve tax processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Participate in special tax projects and initiatives as assigned.
  14. Represent the company in tax audits and assist with resolving any tax-related disputes.
  15. Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on tax-related matters.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Tax Laws And Regulations: A Qualified Manager, Tax Planning & Policy Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Tax Laws And Regulations. This Includes Staying Up-To-Date On Any Changes Or Updates To Ensure Compliance And Maximize Tax Benefits For The Company.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Tax Planning And Policy Involves Complex Financial Data And Requires A Keen Eye For Detail. A Successful Candidate Should Be Able To Analyze And Interpret Financial Information To Identify Tax Planning Opportunities And Develop Effective Tax Strategies.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Manager, Tax Planning & Policy, The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Various Stakeholders Is Crucial. This Includes Working Closely With Other Departments, Tax Authorities, And External Tax Advisors.

  • Prior Experience In Tax Planning And Policy: A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Developing And Implementing Tax Strategies Is A Must For This Role. Previous Experience In Tax Planning And Policy, Preferably In A Large Corporation, Is Highly Desirable.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: This Role Involves Managing A Team Of Tax Professionals And Coordinating With Other Departments Within The Company. A Candidate Should Possess Strong Leadership And Management Skills To Effectively Guide And Develop Their Team And Drive Results.
