Job Description

The engineer in this position acts as a wireless networking subject matter expert and interprets network data to troubleshoot issues and applies technical knowledge to resolve network incidents. This role manages network projects to both build out and lifecycle network infrastructure under limited supervision. Remote work is available for this role. Contributes to long term network architecture planning for specific network services. Contributes to short- and long-term planning to meet network requirements. Executes regular planned maintenance and testing activities. Ensures network infrastructure is fully compliant with security guidelines. Presents technical briefings. Monitor network usage, anticipate problems and suggest solution. Identifies issues with network management tools.

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrates deep dive knowledge of wireless networking technologies

  • 8+ years of relevant experience

  • IT customer support and service (4 yrs)

  • Deep understanding of wireless management frames and ability to troubleshoot via packet capture

  • Experience with Cisco Systems switches and routers. (3+ yrs)
