- Oversee and manage the State of Arizona's fleet of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and specialized vehicles.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and serviced according to manufacturer's recommendations and state regulations.
- Develop and implement fleet maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Monitor and track vehicle usage to ensure optimal allocation and utilization of resources.
- Conduct regular inspections of all vehicles to identify and address any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Manage a team of fleet technicians and mechanics, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and expenses.
- Create and maintain a budget for fleet operations, including purchasing new vehicles and equipment.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in fleet management to continuously improve operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure vehicles meet the specific needs of their programs.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to vehicle usage, maintenance, and safety.
- Train and educate staff on safe and proper use of vehicles and equipment.
- Handle any accidents or incidents involving fleet vehicles, including coordinating repairs and insurance claims.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Uphold the State of Arizona's commitment to providing exceptional services to our citizens through efficient and safe fleet management.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Logistics, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Fleet Management Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Fleet Operations.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills.
