In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are properly maintained and operated in a safe and efficient manner.   1. Oversee and manage the State of Arizona's fleet of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and specialized vehicles.
  2. Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and serviced according to manufacturer's recommendations and state regulations.
  3. Develop and implement fleet maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  4. Monitor and track vehicle usage to ensure optimal allocation and utilization of resources.
  5. Conduct regular inspections of all vehicles to identify and address any maintenance or safety concerns.
  6. Manage a team of fleet technicians and mechanics, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
  7. Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and expenses.
  8. Create and maintain a budget for fleet operations, including purchasing new vehicles and equipment.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in fleet management to continuously improve operations.
  10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure vehicles meet the specific needs of their programs.
  11. Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to vehicle usage, maintenance, and safety.
  12. Train and educate staff on safe and proper use of vehicles and equipment.
  13. Handle any accidents or incidents involving fleet vehicles, including coordinating repairs and insurance claims.
  14. Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
  15. Uphold the State of Arizona's commitment to providing exceptional services to our citizens through efficient and safe fleet management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Logistics, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Fleet Management Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Fleet Operations.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills.
