  1. Conduct thorough and detailed reviews of medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  2. Identify any discrepancies or issues in medical records and communicate them effectively to relevant parties.
  3. Maintain a strong understanding of state and federal regulations related to medical records and ensure adherence to them.
  4. Work closely with healthcare providers and facilities to obtain necessary information and documentation for medical record reviews.
  5. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement processes and procedures for efficient and effective medical record reviews.
  6. Provide recommendations for improvements in medical record documentation and processes to ensure compliance.
  7. Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
  8. Provide guidance and training to healthcare providers and staff on medical record documentation and compliance.
  9. Maintain accurate and organized records of all medical record reviews and related documentation.
  10. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates and reports on medical record review activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or A Related Field.

  • Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Or Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Certification.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Medical Records Review And Coding.

  • Knowledge Of Relevant State And Federal Regulations And Laws Related To Medical Records And Billing.
