- Conduct thorough and detailed reviews of medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Identify any discrepancies or issues in medical records and communicate them effectively to relevant parties.
- Maintain a strong understanding of state and federal regulations related to medical records and ensure adherence to them.
- Work closely with healthcare providers and facilities to obtain necessary information and documentation for medical record reviews.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement processes and procedures for efficient and effective medical record reviews.
- Provide recommendations for improvements in medical record documentation and processes to ensure compliance.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Provide guidance and training to healthcare providers and staff on medical record documentation and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all medical record reviews and related documentation.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates and reports on medical record review activities.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or A Related Field.
Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Or Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Certification.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Medical Records Review And Coding.
Knowledge Of Relevant State And Federal Regulations And Laws Related To Medical Records And Billing.
