- Conduct thorough inspections of state-owned properties and facilities to identify pest infestations and potential risk areas.
- Develop and implement effective pest control strategies to eliminate and prevent pest infestations.
- Operate and maintain pest control equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Keep detailed records of pest control activities, including treatment methods, products used, and areas treated.
- Communicate with property owners, managers, and staff to educate them on pest control measures and provide recommendations for prevention.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while handling and applying pest control products.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pest control strategies and make adjustments as needed.
- Stay informed about current pest control practices, regulations, and industry developments.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate pest control efforts and ensure efficient use of resources.

- Respond promptly to pest control service calls and emergencies.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Typically Required For A Pest Control Technician Position At The State Of Arizona.
Pest Control Certification: Candidates Must Possess A Current Pest Control Technician Certification From The Arizona Department Of Agriculture. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Is Knowledgeable In Pest Control Methods And Safety Protocols.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws: Pest Control Technicians Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of State And Federal Laws Related To Pest Control, Including Regulations On The Use Of Pesticides, Safety Protocols, And Reporting Requirements.
Experience In Pest Control: Previous Experience In Pest Control Is Highly Desirable For This Position. Candidates With Experience In Pest Identification, Treatment Methods, And Application Of Pesticides Will Have An Advantage.
Physical Ability: Pest Control Technicians Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job, Which May Include Working In Tight Spaces, Climbing Ladders, And Lifting Heavy Equipment. Candidates Should Also Have Good Hand-Eye Coordination And Dexterity For Handling Equipment And Applying Pesticides Accurately.
