- Develop and implement policies and initiatives to protect and conserve Arizona's diverse wildlife populations.
- Conduct research and data analysis to assess the current state of wildlife populations and make recommendations for conservation efforts.
- Collaborate with state and federal agencies, as well as local communities and stakeholders, to develop and implement conservation plans and strategies.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other wildlife specialists and team members.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of conservation programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful outcomes.
- Develop and deliver educational programs and materials to raise awareness and promote conservation efforts.
- Conduct surveys and field studies to gather data on wildlife populations, habitats, and behaviors.
- Use GIS and other technology to track and analyze data and create maps and visualizations for reporting and planning purposes.
- Participate in public outreach and engagement activities, such as public speaking events and community meetings, to educate and inform the public about wildlife conservation.
- Stay current on trends and advancements in wildlife management and conservation techniques to continuously improve and enhance programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and legal teams to enforce wildlife protection laws and regulations.
- Manage budgets and resources for wildlife conservation programs and initiatives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Represent the state of Arizona at conferences, workshops, and other professional events related to wildlife conservation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all activities and data collected.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Wildlife Management, Research, Or Conservation, With A Focus On Arizona's Native Species.
Extensive Knowledge Of Arizona's Wildlife Laws, Regulations, And Conservation Strategies.
Proven Experience In Project Management, Including Planning, Budgeting, And Reporting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Educate The Public On Wildlife Issues.
