
Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor

- Provide counseling and guidance to individuals with disabilities in order to help them achieve their vocational rehabilitation goals.
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' abilities, interests, and needs to determine appropriate vocational options.
- Develop individualized rehabilitation plans for each client, outlining specific steps and resources needed to reach their employment goals.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to rehabilitation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes, reports, and case plans.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate clients' progress, making adjustments to plans as needed.
- Provide job coaching and support to clients during their job search and placement process.
- Connect clients with community resources and services that may aid in their rehabilitation process.
- Advocate for clients' rights and needs in the workplace and in the community.
- Stay up-to-date on laws, regulations, and best practices related to vocational rehabilitation for individuals with disabilities.
- Facilitate workshops and trainings for clients and employers on disability awareness and workplace accommodations.
- Work collaboratively with team members and participate in team meetings and case conferences.
- Represent the State of Arizona's Vocational Rehabilitation program in a professional and positive manner.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of client information.
Possession Of A Master's Degree In Rehabilitation Counseling Or A Related Field From An Accredited University.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, Preferably In A Public Agency Or Non-Profit Organization.
Knowledge And Understanding Of State And Federal Laws, Regulations, And Policies Related To Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Individuals With Disabilities, Employers, And Other Stakeholders.
Certification As A Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (Crc) Or Eligibility For Certification Within 6 Months Of Employment.
