
Water Resources Specialist

- Develop and implement strategies for sustainable water use and protection in the state of Arizona.
- Conduct research and analysis on water resources, including surface water and groundwater, to inform decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with state agencies, local governments, and other stakeholders to identify and address water resource issues.
- Advise on policies and regulations related to water resource management and conservation.
- Monitor and assess water usage and quality to identify potential risks and recommend solutions.
- Assist with the development and implementation of water conservation programs and initiatives.
- Communicate with the public and stakeholders about water resource issues and provide education on conservation strategies.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends, technologies, and practices in water resource management to inform decision-making processes.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Work closely with other team members and departments to achieve shared goals and objectives related to water resource management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and data related to water resources.
- Represent the state of Arizona at conferences, meetings, and other events related to water resource management.
- Collaborate with other water resource specialists and professionals to share knowledge and best practices.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and innovation in water resource management.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to water resource management.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Water Resources Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Water Resources Planning, Management, Or Policy Development.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Water Laws, Regulations, And Policies.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Data And Make Sound Decisions.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Stakeholders, Including Government Agencies, Community Groups, And Private Organizations.
