  1. Manage and maintain state parks and recreational facilities to ensure safe and enjoyable experiences for visitors.
  2. Develop and implement programs and activities that promote environmental stewardship and educate the community on conservation efforts.
  3. Collaborate with other departments and organizations to plan and coordinate events and initiatives to enhance the quality of life for community members.
  4. Conduct regular inspections and assessments of park facilities to identify and address any maintenance or safety concerns.
  5. Train and supervise park staff, volunteers, and interns to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  6. Create and manage budgets for park maintenance, programs, and events.
  7. Maintain accurate records and reports of park usage, maintenance activities, and program participation.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in parks and recreation to continuously improve operations.
  9. Communicate with park visitors, community members, and stakeholders to address any concerns or feedback.
  10. Promote and market park programs and events to increase community engagement and usage of facilities.
  11. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to parks and recreation.
  12. Represent the state and parks and recreation department at public events and meetings.
  13. Collaborate with other park and recreation specialists and professionals to share resources and ideas.
  14. Continuously evaluate and assess park operations and make recommendations for improvements.
  15. Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and community satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Parks And Recreation Management, Leisure Studies, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Park And Recreation Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Regulations And Laws Related To Parks And Recreation.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Diverse Populations.

  • Ability To Plan, Organize, And Implement Programs And Events For Park Visitors Of All Ages.
