  1. Develop and implement policies, programs, and services to promote public health and well-being in California.
  2. Serve as a leader and liaison between various health programs and departments within the state government.
  3. Collaborate with community organizations, stakeholders, and other government agencies to address public health issues and concerns.
  4. Conduct research and analysis to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies for program enhancement.
  5. Oversee the budget and resources allocated to health programs and ensure efficient and effective use of funds.
  6. Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and make necessary adjustments to ensure program success.
  7. Provide guidance and support to program staff and foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  8. Stay updated on current public health trends, issues, and best practices to inform program development and decision-making.
  9. Communicate regularly with stakeholders and the public to promote awareness and understanding of health programs and initiatives.
  10. Uphold the values of equity and inclusivity in all aspects of program development and implementation.
  11. Collaborate with other health program managers and officials within the state government to ensure a coordinated and cohesive approach to public health.
  12. Represent the State of California at various health-related meetings, conferences, and events.
  13. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners to leverage additional resources and support for health programs.
  14. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines related to health programs.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for innovation and improvement in health programs to better serve the needs of Californians.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Public Health, Health Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Health Program Management, Preferably In A Government Setting.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Health Programs, Including Medicare And Medicaid.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Manage And Coordinate Diverse Teams And Stakeholders.

  • Experience In Budget Management And Grant Writing, With A Track Record Of Securing And Managing Funding For Health Programs.
