  1. Perform complex forensic analyses on evidence collected from crime scenes, including DNA testing, fingerprint analysis, and ballistics testing.
  2. Utilize advanced technology and techniques to process and analyze evidence, including microscopy, chromatography, and spectrophotometry.
  3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all analyses and findings, and prepare comprehensive reports for use in court proceedings.
  4. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to provide expert testimony and assist in the interpretation of forensic evidence.
  5. Stay current on new developments and advancements in forensic science, and continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and professional development.
  6. Adhere to strict quality control and quality assurance protocols to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
  7. Assist in the development and validation of new forensic techniques and procedures.
  8. Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of equipment and instrumentation used in forensic analysis.
  9. Work closely with other members of the CBI team, including forensic technicians and analysts, to ensure timely and accurate completion of casework.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information related to criminal investigations.
  11. Provide support and guidance to law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders regarding forensic evidence collection, preservation, and analysis.
  12. Participate in interdisciplinary teams to review and evaluate evidence and develop theories and hypotheses related to criminal investigations.
  13. Adhere to all state and federal laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to forensic science.
  14. Represent the Colorado Bureau of Investigation in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Forensic Science, Biology, Chemistry, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Forensic Analysis And Evidence Collection.
