
Community Parole Officer

- Utilize effective communication skills to build rapport and trust with parolees and their support systems.
- Assess and address potential risk factors and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all interactions and progress of parolees.
- Conduct home visits and checks to ensure compliance with parole conditions.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support when necessary.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to address challenges and barriers to successful re-entry.
- Promote positive behavior change through motivational techniques and evidence-based practices.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, policies, and procedures related to parole and re-entry.
- Collaborate with parole board and legal system to provide recommendations and reports on parolee progress.
- Represent the State of Colorado in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
- Attend trainings and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Foster a supportive and non-judgmental environment for parolees to encourage growth and change.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Previous Experience In The Criminal Justice System, Preferably In A Probation Or Parole Setting.
Knowledge Of Colorado State Laws And Regulations Related To Probation And Parole.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Rapport With Diverse Groups Of Individuals.
Excellent Organizational And Time Management Skills, With The Ability To Handle A Large Caseload And Maintain Accurate Records.
