
Fort Lewis College Library Technician
Provides patron services to members of the Fort Lewis College community and other library patrons, including all supervisory functions of the circulation module in the Integrated Library System (III Sierra), material retrieval, patron registration process, interlibrary loan and Prospector reciprocal borrowing, assessing and negotiating fines and reductions in fines. Provide instruction for and assignment and monitoring of student tasks including customer service, shelving, statistics gathering, cleaning, recycling, projects, digital repository metadata, etc. Creates and evaluates work lists for students and participates in worker evaluation process. Supervising shelving activities, including shelf reading and shifting projects, including proposing needed shifts. Creates accurate and current range tags and generates needed statistics.
Two years of public or academic library experience.
Working knowledge of the Library of Congress call number system
Experience with interlibrary loan and Prospector reciprocal borrowing
Circulation desk experience
Flexibility & adaptability to meet scheduling demands and library hours
